Since 1871, there has been a church standing in the Antioch community. When our doors first opened as Antioch Baptist Church of Christ, Freestone County was still young, families traveled by wagon, and the gospel was carried from house to house across these rolling acres. More than 150 years later, the meetings have never stopped. Generations have been baptized here, married here, and laid to rest here. Grandparents have sat in these pews beside grandchildren who now bring children of their own. That kind of continuity isn’t an accident — it’s the faithfulness of God, worked out through ordinary people who kept showing up.
We are a country church with a global reach. Just a few miles off Highway 84, you’ll find gravel, pasture, and a congregation that knows one another’s names. But our vision has never stopped at the county line. Through our cooperation with the Baptist Missionary Association, Antioch helps send and support missionaries carrying the gospel to nations around the world. We believe the same good news that took root in this community in 1871 is still the hope of every people group on earth.
Worship begins at 11:00 every Sunday morning, and we live stream each service on Facebook for those who are homebound, traveling, or simply curious. Come as you are — there’s no dress code and no need to be anybody’s kin to belong here. If you live in this community, this has been your church since 1871, and there’s a place for you in it. We’d love to have you join us.

Come join us for worship, fellowship, and a message of hope.
There’s a place for you here, and we’d love to worship with you!
